The Patchogue Lions Club held its fifteenth annual “Christmas in June” event on Thursday, June 25 at Boomer’s Family Fun Center in Medford. For the tenth consecutive year, as part of its ongoing community service, Gershow Recycling sponsored the event by donating $1,500.

Gershow Recycling Grants Environmental Conservation Scholarships to Local High School Students
Once again, Gershow Recycling has awarded one-time scholarships in the amount of $1,000 from Gershow Recycling. As a leading environmental recycling company, Gershow awards the competitive scholarship to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in environmental science or engineering.

In support of local fire departments and the Huntington community, Gershow Recycling donated the use of 30 vehicles for the 8th Annual Chuck Varese Vehicle Extrication Tournament.

With the summer season now underway, many people are replacing their old barbecue gas grills with new ones. Many parts of the grill can be recycled, including the gas tanks, but there are many safety factors to consider. Gershow Recycling says people must show great care in properly disposing of used propane gas tanks and other parts of the grill when bringing them in to be recycled.
