Gershow Recycling Makes the Holidays Happier for
Long Island's Families in Need
Donates $2,000 to PRONTO Long Island

To make this Thanksgiving a happier one
for Long Island's families in need, Ray Colon, Manager, Gershow Recycling,
presented Frank Sinisi, President, PRONTO Long Island, with a check for
$2,000. The money will be used to help purchase approximately 200
Thanksgiving turkeys.
Due to the recent economic conditions, PRONTO has experienced an increased
demand for services, resulting in a diminished supply at its food bank and
families being placed on a waiting list. Gershow's donation allows PRONTO to
go to its waiting list and provide Thanksgiving turkeys for those families.
Mr. Sinisi thanked Gershow for its generous financial contribution.
"We are very grateful for Gershow's generous donation this holiday season,"
Mr. Sinisi said. "The money helped us provide Thanksgiving dinners for
families who otherwise would not be able to receive them. At the same time,
we are asking Long Islanders to give whatever they can. We understand that
everyone is feeling the economic pinch, but we have seen an increased demand
for our services while our food pantry is experiencing a shortage of
supplies."
"We are happy to reach out to PRONTO Long Island and make this Thanksgiving
an enjoyable one for Long Island's families in need," said Ray Colon,
Manager, Gershow Recycling. "This donation will definitely benefit PRONTO
Long Island in its mission to help those in need. Thanksgiving is not a time
for anyone to go hungry."
PRONTO, based in Bay Shore, New York, provides services to the needy, the
homeless, the unemployed, immigrants, the uninsured and anyone else in need.
They assist those through its food pantry, English as a Second Language
(ESL) classes, immigration counseling, Shots For Tots, computer training and
more.
