Gershow Recycling Donates 14 Cars for Annual Extraction Competition

In support of local Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services crews, Gershow Recycling Corp. donated 14 cars used at the annual extraction competition at Long Island’s Fire, Rescue & EMS Mega Show 2009, which took place January 24-25 at The Expo Center at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. In this extraction competition, 14 teams had 20 minutes to take out a “victim” from the car involved in an “accident” while accurately following procedure. Proceeds from the show went to benefit the Islip Town Firefighters Museum and Education Center.
