December 31, 2009 Cub Scout Pack #543 Visits Gershow Recycling

On December 12, Cub Scout Pack #543 of Patchogue-Medford, received a tour of Gershow Recycling's facility in Medford. Scouts from Den 2 visited the facility to fulfill a requirement to earn a badge in recycling. The scouts learned about the different metals that Gershow recycles and how its operations help keep waste out of landfills and preserve the environment. The visit was organized by Anthony Compierchio, Assistant Cub Master, Pack #543, his wife Cynthia and Jonathan Abrams, Manager, Gershow Recycling. Mr. Compierchio is a home improvement contractor who brings scrap aluminum and metal to Gershow.
