In support of local Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services crews, Gershow Recycling donated a car to the Blue Point Fire Department for an extrication exercise the firefighters performed on February 15.

During the exercise, firefighters used the "Jaws of Life” and other firefighting tools on the vehicle. The practice helps firefighters prepare themselves in the event they needed to extricate a victim from a vehicle involved in a crash.
