Gershow Recycling Donates Vehicle for Extrication Exercise at Brookhaven National Laboratory

Charles Keeling (second from left), Safety Director, Gershow Recycling, poses with the Town of Islip Technical Rescue team at a training exercise at Brookhaven National Laboratory on October 16.

In support of local Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services crews, Gershow Recycling donated a car to the Town of Islip Technical Rescue team for a training exercise at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton on October 16.

During the exercise, firefighters used the "Jaws of Life" and other firefighting tools on the vehicle during a training exercise in which they had to extricate a "victim" from the vehicle, which crashed into a "house." The Town of Islip Technical Rescue team expressed their gratitude for Gershow's donation.
