Gershow Recycling Donates Vehicle to Blue Point FD for Extrication Exercise

In support of local Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services crews, Gershow Recycling donated a car to the Blue Point Fire Department for an extrication exercise they performed on April 27.
During the exercise, firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” and other firefighting tools on the vehicle. The practice helps firefighters prepare themselves in the event they need to extricate a victim from a vehicle involved in a crash. The Blue Point Fire Department expressed their gratitude for Gershow’s donation.
