National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS)

Gershow Recycling will give car dealers a receipt as proof that the vehicle/VIN was destroyed. You can visit the NMVTIS website to verify that Gershow Recycling is registered and reporting VIN's to the NMVTIS as required by the Federal Department of Justice. If your scrap dealer is not registered on this site, you shouldn't use them for this project.
